My dogs vet thinks its strange my dog responds to 3 different names?

So im thinking about getting another dog so when i took the dog i have now into the vet while she was gettin a check up me and the vet talked about it and i told her that my dog responds to 3 names her real name is bailey i call her puppy girl and my mom calls her baby girl and we have been using all these names since ahe was a pup but when i told my vet that it was my dads choice to pick the name of the new one that i was going to give it a nickname and i explained and even showed her how she responds to all 3 names she seemed suprized at the fact....is it really that strange that a dog responds to 3 names...im just wondering
